It vigorously implements the strategy of revitalizing the district with culture, and presents numerous strengths of “Southern Song Culture” and “Qiantang River Culture”. Inheriting and carrying forward the traditional culture, it launches the Southern Song Museum Phase I project of Deshou Palace site protection and exhibition project, and put into use the first Haitang Site Museum, as well as intangible cultural heritage display center, Southern Song Study, etc. Besides, it has successfully held 2020 Southern Song Cultural Festival, Qiantang River Cultural Festival, and other series of activities. It vigorously develops the public culture, and implements the “seven sending” recreation and sports people-benefiting project. For instance, it has launched about 4900 cultural activities, held 136 large-scale recreation and sports events, such as tower running race, cycling around Qianrang River, etc. It also takes an active part in making literary and artistic works, for instance, the film Days and Nights in Wuhan was enlisted as an excellent project of National Film Bureau, Qiantang River Symphony was enlisted as an excellent play of national stage art, and the TV series on major revolutionary history Da Lang Tao Sha was completed smoothly. Qinghefang Historical and Cultural District upgrading and reconstruction phase I project was successfully completed, enlisted among the first batch of “high-quality walking street throughout the province”, and Canal Yingxiang Cultural District phase I project was officially completed. The Asian Games venue reconstruction project ranked the second in annual assessment.
